It often is so easy to pretend one has a fabulous reputation in what he/she does.

Hard to gain one too !

But, after more than fifteen years of proving to the Flemish people, the French-speaking part of Belgium, some fans in France, the Netherlands,…what we are capable of, we tend to say they are worth listening to. Three full-cd’s and a fourth one coming up in 2006 show us that they cannot only entertain on stage but are also fine musicians when it comes to more serious work.

High-lights in the still continuing story of The Swigshift are undoubtedly:

Dranouter Folk Festival, Labadoux Folk, Classical concert with The Philharmonic Orchestra of Ostend, the Amsterdam concert, Feestival Gooik, Skagen Folk Festival (Dk), …

 

With a strong variety of instruments, every concert is an event that never tends to bore.

Fiddle, harp, guitar, flutes, whistles, uilleann pipes, bouzouki, very weird percussion,  didgeridoo, accordion, acoustic bass, … and an explicit way of  arranging traditional tunes or more modern songs with less compare make an audience wanting for more.

And that’s what we do it for, isn’t it : MORE MUSIC !
